The annual conference and innovation development forum of Chinese Photovoltaic Industry Association (CPIA) was held in Shenzhen. More than 800 people from industry authorities, industry organizations, industry experts, and representatives of photovoltaic companies attended this meeting.

Wang Bohua, Vice Chairman and Secretary General of CPIA, made an in-depth analysis of the development of China's photovoltaic industry in 2019. He pointed out that the overall photovoltaic market of 2019 is not very ideal. The new capacity added was only 17.5 GW to the end of October, which has not reached the expection of this year. The reasons he showed: policy delay, land and capital shortages, development of wind power, etc.

He also gave some forecasts of the global photovoltaic market: 1. Photovoltaic power will lead to the reform of global energy. 2. The photovoltaic capacity will up to 2.48 TW in 2030, and 8.5 TW in 2050. 3. The photovoltaic power will account for 13% of the total power generation.
